Oxfordshire is home ground: our HQ sits at Twyford, just outside Banbury, and we work on farms, science campuses and depots from Bicester and Kidlington to Oxford. We replace, clean and remove commercial oil and fuel tanks, pump out sludge and run tanker services for fuel transfers.
Unit 8, Cherwell Valley Business Park is our headquarters, and our own tanker is kept there too. It handles pump-outs, fuel transfers and sludge removal on Oxfordshire jobs without waiting on a third party.
Oil heating matters here more than in most of the South East. Census 2021 puts oil-only heating at 6.6% of Oxfordshire households, rising to roughly one in ten in Cherwell and West Oxfordshire. The same districts are full of farm diesel tanks and ageing steel oil tanks.
Larger sites have their own demands. Harwell Campus near Didcot hosts around 240 organisations, the MINI plant at Cowley runs a working car factory, and RAF Brize Norton near Carterton is the RAF’s biggest station. All of them rely on standby generators and bulk fuel stores.

Run out of heating oil or diesel in Oxfordshire?
24/7 emergency heating oil, kerosene and diesel delivery from 100 litres, including nights, weekends and bank holidays.
Oxfordshire falls within the Environment Agency’s Thames area. Its flow gauges include the Thames at Farmoor and the Thame at Wheatley. Chalk aquifers run under the south of the county and Oolitic limestone under the Cotswold fringe in the west, so a leaking tank can contaminate groundwater as well as a ditch or stream.
Oxford itself floods. The Environment Agency’s Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme will cut a new channel of about five kilometres west of the city to protect more than 1,600 homes and businesses, with construction expected to start in late 2026. Tanks on low ground near the Thames and Cherwell need bunds and fill points above flood level.
The Control of Pollution (Oil Storage) (England) Regulations 2001 apply to any business storing over 201 litres of oil: a bund of at least 110% of capacity, protected fill points and gauges. We are OFTEC registered and work to GPP2 guidance, and every job ends with the disposal certificates and waste notes.
From Banbury we cover the whole county, including these towns.
Yes. Our tanker is based at Twyford, near Banbury, and works across Kidlington, Bicester and the rest of the county. We use it to pump out tanks, move fuel between tanks, take away contaminated fuel and clear sludge.
Usable kerosene or diesel is pumped into our tanker, held while the old tank comes out and the new bunded tank goes in, then transferred back.
It can be. Some sites only need the sludge and water drawn off the bottom of the tank to stop blocked filters, while others need a full clean and de-gas before inspection or removal. We look at the tank first and recommend whichever fits.
If the ground is open and the tank can be reached, removal clears the site completely. Where it sits under a building, a drive or a later extension, cleaning it out and filling it with foam or concrete is safer and causes less disruption.
Yes. Commercial sites are our main work, but we also replace and install domestic oil tanks in Oxfordshire. Our home heating oil tank page has two local examples, from Banbury and Bicester.
