From your call to dispatch

Run out of heating oil? Get an emergency top-up

An empty oil tank can leave your home without heating or hot water. Whether you have run out completely, your usual delivery has been delayed or your tank is running low, call us to arrange an emergency heating oil delivery.

We supply kerosene for home heating and can discuss urgent requirements for commercial premises. Tell us how much fuel you need, whether the tank is empty and when you need the delivery. If you are unsure about the quantity, explain your situation when you call.

01

Tell us what you need

Give us your delivery postcode, fuel type and approximate litres. Let us know about tank access, a remote filling point and any other information that could affect delivery.

02

Confirm the price and delivery time

We check availability and explain the delivery options and cost. If our team is already on another job, we will let you know the expected wait before you decide to book.

03

Pay for your fuel and arrange dispatch

Once your fuel payment is received, we arrange delivery at the earliest available opportunity. Payment allows dispatch to proceed; the expected delivery time depends on availability and the journey to your property.

A top-up or a larger order

Small heating oil deliveries from 100 litres

You do not need a full tank to request an urgent delivery. We offer the quantity you need, including 100-litre top-ups, with standard emergency deliveries up to 1,000 litres.

Emergency top-ups

A 100-litre top-up can bridge the gap until your planned delivery. Tell us the litres you need.

Up to 1,000 litres

Arrange a standard emergency heating oil or kerosene delivery, with the price and timing confirmed before booking.

More than 1,000 litres

Larger quantities are available by arrangement. Contact us to agree the quantity, delivery arrangements and an individual quote.

The call-out and travel costs still apply to a 100-litre order, so a larger quantity may offer better value per litre. We explain the total cost so you can choose the amount that suits your needs.

Time and location

Heating oil delivery today, tomorrow or at the weekend

Emergency deliveries are usually made within 24 hours and often on the same day. The available delivery time depends on your postcode, the journey, tank access and our team’s current availability.

For a late-evening enquiry, the earliest suitable option may be the following morning. If you need an immediate evening or overnight delivery, call us to discuss availability and the additional cost.

24/7 delivery, including weekends and bank holidays

We can arrange out-of-hours deliveries, including evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, bank holidays and overnight journeys, subject to availability. Call-out and labour charges vary by the time of the delivery, and an urgent overnight journey can cost more than a daytime visit.

Tell us when you need the fuel. We will explain the available option and price before dispatch.

A quote for your delivery

How much does emergency heating oil delivery cost?

Your quote reflects the fuel you order and the work needed to get it to you:

  • Fuel quantity and current priceThe litres supplied at the quoted fuel price.
  • Emergency call-outThe charge for arranging an urgent delivery.
  • TravelThe journey required to reach your property.
  • Labour and delivery timeThe time involved, with different charges for daytime, evening, weekend or overnight work.
  • Additional assistanceAny agreed fuel-line bleeding assistance.

We confirm your quote, including applicable VAT, before you book. A 100-litre urgent top-up can still carry a substantial delivery charge because the call-out, journey and labour are needed regardless of the litres ordered.

Call with your postcode, quantity and preferred time for a quote based on your delivery.

When the tank has run dry

What to do if your oil tank has run dry

We offer fuel-line bleeding assistance alongside your delivery at an additional charge, where suitable for your system. Removing air from the fuel line can help restore fuel flow and get your heating running again. We confirm the charge before the work begins.

If your boiler requires further attention, a qualified heating engineer will need to complete the restart or repair. Specialist appliances, including AGA systems, require an appropriately qualified engineer for appliance work.

Tell us when you call if your tank has run dry and your heating has stopped, so we can discuss the help you need alongside your fuel delivery.

Ready for the journey

What we need to know about your tank

To prepare for delivery, please tell us:

  • Your postcode and the quantity and type of fuel required.
  • Whether the tank is empty or still contains fuel.
  • Where the tank is and the approximate distance from vehicle access to the filling point.
  • Whether filling is through the tank’s usual opening or a remote filling point.
  • The connection details if you have a remote filling point, including whether it has a two-inch connection.
  • Any gates, access restrictions or other details that could affect delivery.

A photo of the filling point can help us check the connection before the journey. Let us know about remote filling arrangements when you book so we can confirm suitable access and equipment.

Emergency heating oil delivery questions

Can you deliver heating oil today?

Same-day heating oil delivery is often available. Call with your postcode and litres so we can check the earliest option. Deliveries are usually within 24 hours, but the confirmed time depends on your location and availability.

Can I order just 100 litres of heating oil?

Yes, we can arrange quantities such as 100 litres. The emergency call-out, travel and labour costs still apply, so we will quote the total price before you book.

Can you deliver more than 1,000 litres?

Yes. Standard emergency deliveries are up to 1,000 litres, and larger quantities are available by arrangement. Call us to agree the amount, price and delivery conditions.

Do you deliver heating oil at night, weekends or bank holidays?

Our 24/7 emergency delivery service includes nights, weekends and bank holidays, subject to availability. Out-of-hours charges vary, and an immediate overnight delivery may cost more. We confirm the price and timing before dispatch.

Do you deliver to my postcode?

We arrange deliveries across England and can also arrange deliveries to Scotland. Call with your postcode so we can confirm the journey, arrival time and quote for your address.

Do I need to pay before delivery?

Yes. We dispatch after payment for the fuel has been received, at the earliest available opportunity. If our team is busy, we will explain the expected wait when arranging your delivery.

Will you help get my heating running again?

Fuel-line bleeding assistance is available at an additional charge where suitable for your system. It can help restore fuel flow after a tank has run dry. If the boiler needs further restart work, repairs or specialist attention, a qualified heating engineer will need to carry out that work.

Can you supply emergency diesel as well?

We can also discuss urgent white diesel, also known as DERV, requirements. Call to confirm the product, quantity and delivery arrangements. This is separate from choosing the correct kerosene for your home heating system.

What do you do if you run out of heating oil?

Turn the boiler off so it does not keep trying to fire, check the tank gauge, then call 0800 677 1155 for an emergency top-up. Once fuel is delivered, the fuel line may need bleeding before the boiler restarts. We offer fuel-line bleeding assistance at an additional charge where suitable.

What can I use if I run out of heating oil?

The safest option is an emergency top-up of the correct fuel, usually kerosene. Do not put other fuels into your tank unless a qualified heating engineer or your boiler manufacturer has confirmed it is safe for your system. A 100-litre top-up can keep you going until your planned delivery.

Is heating oil the same as kerosene?

For most UK homes, yes. Domestic heating oil is usually kerosene, also called 28-second oil or burning oil. Some older or commercial boilers use gas oil (35-second oil). If you are not sure which fuel your boiler uses, check the label on the tank or the boiler manual, or tell us when you call.

Can I order less than 500 litres of heating oil?

Yes. Many suppliers have a minimum order of around 500 litres, but we deliver emergency heating oil and kerosene from 100 litres. A 100 or 200 litre top-up is often enough to keep your heating on until your next planned delivery.

Can you deliver red diesel in an emergency?

Yes, for eligible users. Red diesel can only be used for purposes permitted by HMRC, such as agriculture. Tell us how the fuel will be used so we can confirm the right product before delivery.

Do you deliver emergency heating oil to businesses?

Yes. We deliver to homes, farms and commercial premises. For larger quantities or regular commercial supply, call to agree the volume, access and delivery arrangements.

Looking after your fuel system

An urgent fuel delivery replenishes your supply. If water, sludge or contamination is affecting the tank or stored fuel, separate cleaning or treatment may also be needed.
